Eniola Sonuga is a lawyer and public policy advisor specializing in government relations, commercial law, and trade policy. As the Managing Partner at Optima Policy and Legal Advisory, she provides strategic leadership in legal advisory services, regulatory affairs, and government relations, helping businesses and policymakers navigate complex legal and policy landscapes.
She has served in various capacities, including leading the AfCFTA Women and Youth Advisory Council’s Capacity Building Directorate, where she spearheaded initiatives to enhance the participation of African women entrepreneurs in intra-African trade.
Eniola is also a member of Chatham House, the Harvard Kennedy School Women Alumni Network’s delegation to the W20, and the Trade Law Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association’s Section on Business Law. With a strong focus on commercial law practice, trade, and investment, she has advised on key policy reforms, engaged with government stakeholders, and led initiatives to strengthen socioeconomic development.
